About British Airways Tier Points
Tier Points are earned on eligible flights with British Airways and its oneworld alliance partners. They determine your status in the BA Executive Club:
Earn 1 Tier Point per £1 on base fare + carrier charges, and 2 Tier Points per £1 on baggage, seat selection, and SAF contributions (from April 2026). The tier thresholds are:
- Bronze (3,500) Tier Points
- Silver (7,500) Tier Points
- Gold (20,000) Tier Points
Bonus Tier Points are awarded per segment based on cabin class and fare type. From April 2026, more flexible fares earn bigger bonuses (e.g. Fully Flex Club World = 1,100 bonus). AA and Iberia flights also earn flat cabin-based bonuses. Government taxes and fees are excluded.
