What this could book
These are editorial estimates, not cash. Point values are our view of a typical redemption based on published award charts and real award-night costs. They are not a guaranteed cash-out rate — you can only realise value by booking a stay, and actual value swings by hotel, date and availability.

Fixed chart vs dynamic pricing. World of Hyatt uses a fixed award chart: every hotel sits in a category (1–8) with set points prices, so an off-peak room in an expensive city stays cheap in points even when its cash rate spikes — that is why points-hackers rate Hyatt highest, typically 1.2–1.5p per point. Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors and IHG One Rewards use dynamic pricing that loosely tracks the cash rate, so a point buys less at exactly the hotels you most want. Hilton earns the most points per stay but each is worth the least; Hyatt earns slowly but each point works hardest.
Earning these points in the UK. American Express Membership Rewards is the main UK route: transfers run at 1.5 MR → 1 Marriott Bonvoy point and 2 MR → 1 Hilton Honors point — both weak ratios, so MR is usually better kept for airline partners. World of Hyatt and IHG One Rewards are not UK Amex transfer partners, so you earn those through paid stays or their co-brand cards — part of why scarce Hyatt points hold such high value.
